William Blake questioned the convention of his time, he was opposed to tyranny and oppression. He delved into the notion of Good & Evil and Heaven & Hell, reversing traditional thought on these subjects. His work is extensive and philosophical. I set off on a journey when I secured a copy of, “The Complete Works of William Blake”.

The read was joyous, I felt like I was home. My excitement grew when I realised how relevant his writings were to todays society. My head filled with image upon image, hence the birth of three series, executed over three years, based loosely on his writings.

“Take refuge in Human Lineaments”, is the third and final series in this trilogy. The imagery for the second and third series stems from the plethora of animals in his poetry.

Ah, the first post on my new and slightly still in progress site. A big thank you to Grandpa Shea for all of his help tackling the overhaul, I’m more than happy with how it is shaping up so far! Those of you who remember my previous site (I think Shea described it as being “bonkers” and “nuts”) will no doubt agree that the new build has a completely different feel. Very clean, sleek and minimal. Expect a few additions to this site over the next few weeks. I’m planning on uploading a decent chunk of my back catalogue, so be sure to drop by to check on the progress!!
